Washington Mystics’ Natasha Cloud Talks Truth About their Sixth Straight Win

The Mystics defeated the Dallas Wings with a score of 93-80. They have won 20 games since their season in 2010. In the fourth quarter, Ariel Atkins collided with Allisha Gray while trying to make a layup. This injury almost impacted their teamwork. Throughout each quarter this team kept it together and their coordination on the court was unstoppable. Rookie Guard Ariel Atkins scored 26 points. Elena Delle Donne contributed 23, which led The Mystics to win their sixth straight game.

From the first quarter to the fourth quarter the relationship between the team stayed consistent. Whereas, The Wings seemed less together as far as communication on the court. They seemed to have no talk about their on the court plans. At halftime, The Mystics’ score was 25-9. However, The Washington Mystics continued to keep their heads up and win.

One of The Washington Mystics Guard, Natasha Cloud mentions she was proud of the win but wants the team to continue to progress. Cloud gives her remarks on Sunday’s game, “We did a good job altogether. I thought we were sloppy at points. A win is a win.” This team has played their hearts all from the beginning of the season. The stakes have become higher now that they have earned a spot in the playoffs. “We are in the playoffs now. The little mistakes we are making how to be fixed. One of these mistakes are having the lead and then giving it back. We have to fix and correct this moving forward if we want to be a championship team.”

The Washington Mystics hit the road for Wednesday’s game against the Indiana Fevers. Cloud shows good sportsmanship and gives slight comments on the Fever’s performance. “We have a tough game coming up in Indiana. This is a team that did not make the playoffs but are doing very well. They have a lot of talented players.” The Pennsylvania native is a kind and humble player. “We are taking it each game at a time. We are remaining focus and respectful to everyone.”
