As 2019 ended, we were left with some spectacular last-minute releases that hint at even greater things to come in 2020. Newly coveted pop sensation Ava Max did just that as she premiered her last release of the year on the 29th, “On Somebody”. The up-and-comer already saw a multitude of success throughout the year and she’s topped it of with one last banging release.
Her October feature in Galore Magazine was titled and stating that “Ava Max is here to save pop music”. Now that 2019 has come to an end, her track record proves this statement all too true. With critical acclaim from Billboard¸ features in Vanity Fair, FORBES, MTV, New York Times Rolling Stone, and V Magazine, and a whopping 1.2 billion and counting streams on her single “Sweet But Psycho”, it is evident Ava Max is here to stay.
This release was shortly following the premiere of her video for her collaborative track with electro-dance music producer Alan Walker, “Alone Pt. II”. The video was released on the 27th and already sits at over ten million views. And apart from the releases, Max was able to top of her end of the year with a feature performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2020, with a performance of her hit “Sweet But Psycho”. The American singer-songwriter has settled comfortably into the presence of the pop world, and with the new year here we can expect even more out of the young superstar.
