Rising British singer-songwriter Hamzaa has released her new single “London” – a powerful, anthemic love song for her hometown – via Elektra Records, available now at all streaming services and digital retailers HERE.
Hamzaa said – “I wrote a song about my city, my London , I love this place and I’m so happy I get to share that with the world. I feel like now more than ever huge changes are happening across the city and we may not like it all, but the people and the energy, the lifestyle and the culture is what makes this place home, and I’m sure you feel the same way about where you’re from, wherever you’re from.”
The companion music video for “London” made its premiere on The Fader and is streaming now on her official YouTube channel. Watch HERE. The video was filmed around East London starring family, friends and some of London’s most exciting creatives including Gal Dem founder Liv Little, Reprezent Radio DJs Henrie VII and Rellik The Don, Foundation FM’s Ellie Prohan, singer/songwriter Rachel Chinouriri, producer/songwriter Pantha, producer Ragz, renowned photographer Vicky Grout, Queenie author Candice Carty-Williams and artists Tia Carys, Kali Claire and Benji Flow.
The 20-year old artist is already causing a stir in her native UK, with sold out shows, critical acclaim (including a 4 star review from the Evening Standard), and love from the likes of chart-topping artists Stormzy and Jorja Smith as well as Beats 1 deejay Julie Adenuga.
