This ‘Captain Underpants’ Trailer is full of silly hijinks

A ton of films, TV shows and cartoons are based on books lately. It is a trend in Hollywood right now, and most of these projects are hit or miss. Captain Underpants is a widely popular series of children’s books, and now a movie is coming out. This was a project that sounded like a bad idea on paper, but that may not be true. The first trailer for Captain Underpants is now online and here is what it tells us about this movie.

George Beard (Kevin Hart) and Harold Hutchins (Thomas Middleditch) are best friends who spend their days creating comic books and dreaming up pranks. One day they accidentally hypnotize their school principal into believing that he is Captain Underpants (Ed Helms), a dimwitted super hero whose costume consists of underwear and a cape. As if this isn’t bad enough, their newest teacher is a disgraced evil scientist bent on exacting his revenge at their school. George, Harold and Captain Underpants must band together to thwart his evil agenda.

This is a really good Captain Underpants trailer. It is full of silly comedy, action, and does a good job revealing the origins of this odd superhero. There is also a wonderful reveal of the potential villain, and the scenes with these two friends are hilarious.
