Arms is unlike any fighting game you have ever played
Fighting games can be a ton of fun. They can have all kinds of different characters and are very popular. Games like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and Killer Instinct have been going strong for years because people love playing games like this. Yet there has never been anything like Arms before. There was a Nintendo Switch preview event on Friday and this writer was able to attend. Here are his thoughts after he was able to play a demo of this game.
You can read the plot for Arms here:
Choose a fighting champion from around the world, equip your own combination of extendable arms, and then use a mix of button presses and quick hand motions to really take the fight to your opponent. Throw punches and guide them midfight to hit agile fighters, avoid incoming attacks with dashes, or trampoline high into the air to rain down fists from above. Power-up your punches to deal extra damage or curve your fists around obstacles to hit skittish opponents. Fill up your special gauge to dish out devastating combinations and finish them off. Unleash your inner fighter in this unbelievable sporting event!
Arms is an interesting game. Yet the way you play it takes some getting used to. If you want to stand any chance of doing well take my advice, do the training before your first fight. It helps out a lot, trust me. This is a game that uses the motion controls for every punch, block and jab players will attempt to land on their opponent. This is a game you can play by yourself, or against your friends. There are many fighters to choose from like Ribbon Girl, Master Mummy and more. Yet choose wisely because some weapons are slow and deal a lot of damage while others are faster but only will help set up larger combinations. Overall this is a fighting game where you will get better at the more often you play it. If you want to learn more about Arms click on this website.
