Ice Wine Martini

If you have a Saturday it nothing to do but watch some great sports and good movies you should try this cocktail called Ice Wine Martini.  Ice wine is a type of dessert wine produced from grapes that have been frozen while still on the vine. The sugars and other dissolved solids do not freeze, but the water does, allowing a more concentrated grape must to be pressed from the frozen grapes, resulting in a smaller amount of more concentrated, very sweet wine. With ice wines, the freezing happens before the fermentation, not afterwards. Unlike the grapes from which other dessert wines are made.
Ice Wine can be expensive because it’s apparently very labor-intensive to produce, but my mom found a reasonably priced bottle made from Riesling grapes at Trader Joe’s.
Ingredients
One part vodka
One part Ice Wine
Frozen grape for garnish
Methods
Shake the vodka and Ice Wine with ice, strain, and drop in a frozen grape.
I’m telling you this is a very different type of martini. When you make it you are going to love the taste, guaranteed.
